If the control board(not included) of your gate opener system has DC or solar terminals, you may simply feed the free ends of the solar panel charger wires into the control box and attach them to the appropriate terminals on the control board. If not, then you will need a charge controller(not included), attach the free ends of the solar panel charger wires to the PV(or solar ) terminals of a charge controller. Then connect the battery of your gate opener system and the battery terminals on your control board to the battery and load terminals of the charge controller respectively. 6. Does this solar panel charger need maintenance and how should it be maintained? Clean the glass surface of the solar panel charger regularly are necessary to ensure efficiency. Please use water and a soft sponge or cloth for cleaning. A mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent can be used to remove grime and dirt.
